Step into a rewarding role supporting the communication needs of K-12 students as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. In this contract position, you’ll engage with students across grade levels, fostering their growth and empowering their voices within an onsite educational setting. Your expertise will help shape students’ academic and social success through direct therapy, collaboration with educators, and contribution to meaningful IEP processes.
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina SLP license
- SC Educator Certification
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
- Experience or strong interest in school-based and pediatric speech-language pathology
- Proficiency with assessments, IEP development, and progress documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with staff, families, and students
- Knowledge of teletherapy is a plus, though this position is onsite only
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech/language assessments for K-12 students
- Develop individualized, evidence-based goals for each caseload member
- Lead and participate in IEP meetings, communicating effectively with teams and families
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services onsite
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reporting as required by district protocols
- Work collaboratively with teachers and service providers to support student success
- Provide input and support to multi-disciplinary teams
- Paid travel time included; confirmation of mileage reimbursement pending
