School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | West Chester, Pennsylvania
Make a difference in the lives of students by stepping into a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity focused on middle and high school caseloads. As an onsite, contract professional, you will collaborate with educators and families to support student communication needs, ensuring a positive impact within an urban educational setting. This full-time role offers 35 hours per week from now through June 10, 2027.
Key Qualifications:
- Active SLP license and ASHA CCC required
- Previous experience working in schools, specifically with middle and high school populations
- Familiarity with the demands of an urban school environment and comfort working onsite within the district
- Ability to complete all PA clearances prior to starting
- Possession of reliable transportation for daily commuting
- Flexible to work between 7:15 AM and 4:00 PM with no schedule accommodations permitted
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct therapy services and consult with staff and families regarding student progress
- Maintain meticulous documentation in adherence to school and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary consultations as appropriate
- Foster a motivating, supportive environment that reflects the diverse needs of the student population
