This position focuses on providing vital speech and language services to caseloads averaging 40-50 students, with placements designed for minimal travel across buildings.
Open to SLPs with CCCs as well as recent graduates (CFY), this is a fantastic way to refine your practice or leverage your experience. Supervision and mentorship can be arranged for clinical fellows, ensuring a supportive path to building your expertise in a school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Michigan SLP license or eligibility
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellow (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- Experience providing speech/language services in a school or pediatric setting is a plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to elementary students (approx. 40-50 per caseload)
- Complete evaluations, develop individualized plans (IEPs), and monitor progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and service logs as required by school policy
- Serve one primary building; occasional assignment across two sites may be possible based on staffing needs and candidate preference
