Step into a fulfilling role supporting students’ communication needs across a variety of educational settings in the Dearborn, MI area. This contract opportunity spans from early summer through Thanksgiving 2026, offering a dynamic blend of responsibilities for an enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist. You’ll serve students in Early Intervention, Early Childhood, and non-public PreK/Elementary environments while enjoying a balanced weekly schedule—5 to 10 hours per week during summer and 32.5 hours during the academic year.
Your expertise will be pivotal as you travel between three closely situated schools (within a two-mile radius) and provide some in-home therapy sessions nearby. You’ll work alongside dedicated professionals and help young learners in diverse stages of development reach their greatest potential. Compensation for this role ranges from $45 to $55 per hour.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan School Speech and Language Pathologist Certification
- Experience working with Early Intervention, PreK, and Elementary-aged children is highly preferred
- Comfortable covering multiple sites and transitioning between school and in-home environments
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language screenings, assessments, and ongoing therapy for early childhood to elementary students
- Develop and implement personalized intervention plans based on each child’s unique needs
- Work both on-site at three schools and in-home for designated students to maximize accessibility and impact
- Maintain accurate records, complete required documentation, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Engage families and staff to ensure continuity of care and support for students across settings
