Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant educational setting near the Waukegan, IL area. This full-time contract position spans the academic year from August 17, 2026, to May 27, 2027, offering approximately 33.25 hours per week of meaningful, face-to-face engagement. Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid licensure for practice in Illinois
  • Previous experience in a school-based or similar pediatric setting highly preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to inclusive, student-centered therapeutic practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and parent conferences
  • Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
