Elementary Middle School Speech Therapist in Aurora, IL
A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve in an elementary school setting, working with students in grades K-5. This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Possession of a valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP endorsement
- Experience or preparation aligned with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for school-based speech-language pathology
- Ability to work effectively with elementary-age students, providing tailored speech and language interventions
- Familiarity with school settings, including middle and high school environments, is advantageous but not required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support communication goals
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapeutic strategies to ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate in meetings and professional development activities as required
