Pediatric School Speech Therapist | Naperville, Illinois
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting students across two sites near Naperville, IL. This full-time contract assignment runs through June 30, 2026, offering a dynamic environment where your expertise in pediatric and school-based speech services is highly valued.
You’ll serve a diverse caseload of approximately 40 students, working with children from Kindergarten through 7th grade and beyond. As an itinerant SLP, you’ll travel between two sites, collaborating with educational teams to deliver direct therapy, conduct evaluations, and ensure students reach their fullest communication potential. The day begins at 8:00 AM and concludes at 3:00 PM, amounting to a total of 35 hours per week.
Qualifications & Experience
- Active Illinois SLP license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Skilled in pediatric, healthcare, and school-based SLP approaches
- Recent experience in direct speech-language assessment, intervention, and IEP management in a school setting
- Fingerprinting completion required before starting
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- No Clinical Fellows (CF), SLPA, or assistant placements available
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services (caseload model)
- Complete comprehensive speech-language evaluations and assessments
- Develop and manage IEPs; participate in all IEP meetings
- Maintain thorough and compliant documentation
- Foster collaboration with families, teachers, and staff
- Travel between two assigned sites as needed
