School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Watertown, Wisconsin
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners with speech and language needs for a special assignment running from the end of October through the end of January. In this role, you'll work within a single school site, providing services to students ranging from Early Childhood (EC) through first grade, along with some second and third graders. While onsite support is the primary focus, candidates with VOCO (virtual/online speech therapy) experience are welcome to apply.
Qualifications:
- Hold a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current state licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Previous experience working in school-based settings, preferably with students in EC – 3rd grade
- Proficiency in both onsite and VOCO service models is advantageous
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt and tailor interventions for diverse learners in a classroom setting
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a caseload of EC – 3rd grade students
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain appropriate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure effective service delivery and support student progress
- Utilize evidence-based practices in therapy sessions, adjusting approaches as needed
- Maintain consistent communication regarding student progress and participate in team meetings
