Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology for SLPs; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree for SLPAs
  • Connecticut SLP or SLPA state license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA for SLPs strongly preferred
  • School-based or pediatric experience welcomed
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Passion for working with children from diverse backgrounds

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students’ speech, language, voice, and fluency skills to identify needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
  • Consult with teachers and parents to monitor progress and offer strategies for success in the classroom
  • Maintain accurate records and required documentation
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise on student supports
  • Stay informed of best practices and participate in ongoing professional development
