Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology for SLPs; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree for SLPAs
- Connecticut SLP or SLPA state license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA for SLPs strongly preferred
- School-based or pediatric experience welcomed
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Passion for working with children from diverse backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech, language, voice, and fluency skills to identify needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
- Consult with teachers and parents to monitor progress and offer strategies for success in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and required documentation
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise on student supports
- Stay informed of best practices and participate in ongoing professional development
