Speech Language Pathologist in Warrenton, NC
Embark on a rewarding part-time assignment supporting students’ communication and language development across multiple sites for the upcoming school year. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with a small caseload of students from kindergarten through 8th grade, providing impactful speech-language services and participating in assessments.
Your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist will be vital for both ongoing therapy and initial evaluations. You’ll be working with 6 current students two times a week and play a critical role in assessing four incoming new students, helping set the foundation for their academic success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP licensure for schools or eligibility to obtain
- Experience with school-aged children, especially in K-8 settings
- Familiarity with IEP processes, student evaluation, and progress documentation
- Strong collaboration skills; able to communicate effectively with staff, families, and students
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to a small, diverse caseload across grades K-8
- Conduct assessments and assist in eligibility determination for incoming students
- Prepare comprehensive reports and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Travel between multiple school sites as required
- Maintain documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Partner with educators and families to support student achievement
