School Speech and Language Pathologist | Warren, Michigan
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support a school-based program located in Warren, MI. This contract position is scheduled from April through the end of the school year (EOSY) and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic educational setting.
Responsibilities include conducting preschool evaluations, managing the preschool social communication group, and supporting the Mixter post-secondary program. The SLP will be responsible for writing and managing IEPs and completing parts of student evaluations. Experience with electronic IEP systems is required, specifically familiarity with the Wayne RES MiStar platform.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a valid CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Previous school-based experience working with children and youth
- Knowledge of the IEP development process and special education laws and regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other school professionals
- Strong communication skills and organizational abilities
This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, approximately from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, offering a consistent weekday schedule.
