School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Vestal, New York

This contract role offers a dynamic opportunity for a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and school-based experience. The position is currently open for the summer term, with potential to continue into the new school year based on successful performance. Onsite support is readily available through a dedicated facilitator who serves as the hands-on resource to help you deliver exceptional speech therapy services.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Speech-Language Pathologist license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Demonstrated experience providing SLP services in school settings
- Strong knowledge of therapy for school-age communication disorders (articulation, language, fluency, pragmatics)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working collaboratively with teachers, families, and support staff
- Experience in conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and implementing evidence-based interventions
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services to K-12 students
- Assess, diagnose, and document speech-language needs and progress in alignment with school policies
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with the onsite facilitator as well as educators and families for smooth service provision
- Participate in team meetings and share progress with stakeholders
- Maintain thorough records to meet compliance and reporting requirements
