School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Vacaville, California
Step into an impactful and rewarding opportunity to provide school-based speech-language pathology services in a supportive educational setting. This full-time, onsite contract position offers a chance to make lasting connections and meaningful progress with students across a variety of caseloads and age groups throughout the academic year, beginning August 11, 2026, and continuing through June 6, 2027.
You’ll bring your expertise to one of several dynamic assignments tailored to your strengths and interests. Assignments include intensive and mild/moderate special day classes at high school, post-secondary, middle, elementary, or TK-5 programs, with FTE flexibility and placement at one or two sites in the area.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and valid California SLP license and certification required
- CCC certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
- Previous school-based SLP experience ideal
- Comfort with managing a diverse population, including students in intensive and mild/moderate needs programs
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Commitment to in-person, onsite service delivery for the contract duration
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students, tailoring interventions to individual IEP goals
- Assess student abilities and needs, documenting progress and maintaining accurate records
- Collaborate closely with general and special education teachers, support staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, assisting with development and adjustment of plans
- Provide support across designated classrooms and grade levels, depending on assignment
- Foster a welcoming and positive environment that encourages student growth
