SLP in Universal City, TX
Step into an essential role supporting student communication during a dynamic maternity leave assignment as a Speech Language Pathologist. This contract position is based on-site near Universal City, TX, covering the first 9-week period of the school year (August 17 - October 9, 2026). You'll work full-time with two school campuses, contributing to student success while providing leadership and supervision for a bilingual SLPA.
What You’ll Bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active ASHA CCC
- Valid state licensure for SLP required
- Previous school-based SLP experience highly valued
- Capability to supervise a bilingual SLPA
- Bilingual (Spanish-English) skills preferred
- Flexibility, organization, and strong communication abilities
- Ability to pass fingerprinting and background screening
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy services
- Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student progress
- Supervise and mentor a bilingual SLPA, providing guidance and oversight
- Maintain accurate documentation, timely progress reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Travel between two assigned campuses, adapting services as needed based on caseload
