Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Texas SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, CFY considered
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents, ideally in a school or pediatric setting
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Comfortable collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Consult with classroom teachers and other educational staff to support student success
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to student plans
- Educate and support families on communication strategies as needed
