Key Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator Certification is essential.
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from an accredited institution required.
- Experience serving pediatric and adolescent populations, with comprehensive knowledge surrounding their cognitive and physical development.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and procedures pertaining to special education and individuals with disabilities.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret and apply relevant educational laws, policies, and assessment data.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) to support communication and data management.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
- ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language pathology services for students based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments using appropriate diagnostic tools and interpret results to inform educational strategies.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with all legal and procedural standards.
- Collaborate with educational professionals, families, and other service providers to ensure coordinated care and optimal learning outcomes.
- Stay current with state, federal, and local requirements related to speech-language services in school settings.
