What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Professional Educator Certification
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution
- Comprehensive understanding of laws, rules, and regulations related to special education and services for children with disabilities
- In-depth knowledge of pediatric and adolescent development, both cognitive and physical
- Familiarity with diagnostic instruments for assessing students with disabilities
- Ability to accurately interpret policies, data, and regulations related to the field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- On-site availability (remote/virtual not considered)
- Preferred: ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure
What You’ll Do:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students in accordance with their individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Document student performance and maintain accurate records
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and decision-making processes
- Adapt services to a variety of caseloads and locations, based on district needs
