Essential Qualifications:
- Active or eligible for ABESPA AL SLP Certification and/or Alabama SLP DOE Certification (can start with one while securing the other)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Experience working with school-aged children, especially elementary or intermediate grades
- Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students in grades 3–6, targeting individualized goals
- Conduct evaluations, develop and implement IEPs, and track progress
- Participate in student support teams, IEP meetings, and collaborate with teachers and families
- Maintain accurate, timely records in alignment with district and state guidelines
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and growth-centered environment for learners
Role Details:
- Onsite, serving one intermediate school
- Contract runs ASAP through late May 2027
- Two days per week (15 hours), providing a consistent, predictable schedule
