Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
- Experience or demonstrated interest in elementary student populations or low-incidence/specialized student populations
- Solid understanding of IEP management, conducting evaluations, and providing direct therapy in a school setting
- Commitment to collaborative, student-focused support
Responsibilities and Assignments:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy and evidence-based interventions to assigned student caseloads
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments per IEP goals and school requirements
- Develop, implement, and document IEPs—including progress monitoring and compliance with federal and state special education regulations
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary team members for optimal student outcomes
- Adapt communication methods—including AAC—for students with complex learning and communication needs, if serving within the specialized K–12 setting
