Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Thomasville, NC
Step into a rewarding school-based contract position supporting students ranging from Kindergarten through middle grades. You’ll make a direct impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist, providing essential services to students with mild to moderate disabilities in a vibrant, collaborative setting. This full-time role (37.5 hours weekly) runs from late August to late May and offers the chance to serve a diverse caseload of 30-40 students across four connected buildings, all on one campus.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold (or be eligible for) NC Speech-Language Pathology licensure and a valid NPI number for Medicaid billing
- CCC-SLP, SLP-CFY, and pediatric experience are all welcome
- Previous experience in school environments and with K-6 or K-8 populations is highly valued
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Capacity to foster positive relationships and collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services for students ages K-6 or K-8
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Maintain thorough records and progress documentation in alignment with school and Medicaid requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide ongoing support and resources for educators and families to promote student success
