Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current North Carolina Speech Language Pathology license
- Possession of a National Provider Identifier (NPI) for Medicaid billing
- Experience or interest in working with pediatric school populations (CFY candidates are also welcome)
- Familiarity with SLP best practices in a school setting
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Dedication to fostering growth and inclusion in diverse classroom environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students across K–6/8th grade for speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop, implement, and review individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Deliver engaging individual and group therapy sessions to improve speech and language outcomes
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals on student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold governmental, district, and legal compliance standards
- Advocate for each child’s unique needs and actively participate in IEP meetings
