Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Asheboro, North Carolina
Step into an engaging contract opportunity supporting K-6 or K-8 students with mild to moderate speech and language disabilities. This position, beginning August 24 and running through May 28, offers a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. You’ll find yourself working on a single campus spread across four buildings, providing continuity for your caseload of approximately 30-40 students. Make a daily difference delivering tailored speech-language therapy, assessments, and support services right where it’s needed most.
Ideal candidates bring experience with pediatric and school-based speech-language therapy, including those who are Clinical Fellows or have achieved their Certificate of Clinical Competence. A valid North Carolina SLP license and NPI number (for Medicaid documentation) are required. Strong communication and collaboration skills will be essential as you partner with staff and families to help students achieve their communication goals.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active NC SLP license and NPI number
- Experience in pediatric or school-based settings (CFYs welcome)
- Familiarity with managing a diverse caseload of mild-to-moderate needs
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat students aged K-6 or K-8 for speech and language needs
- Develop individual education plans (IEPs) and maintain accurate records
