We’re seeking dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) interested in a contract position spanning the school year, with assignments concentrated in the East or Southern parts of the district. Start Date: August 12, 2026
End Date: June 11, 2027
Hours: 35-37.5 per week
What we’re looking for:
- Valid North Carolina SLP license (SLP-CF candidates welcome; supervision available)
- SLP-CCC or strong CF candidates accepted (No SLPA roles currently available)
- Strong collaborative, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience supporting students with Autism (AU) and/or low cognitive disabilities is preferred
- Enthusiasm for working in a school-based environment and adapting to students’ individual needs
- Comfortable managing a varied caseload (up to 35 students; preferences can be accommodated after discussion)
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, deliver evidence-based therapy, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in meetings as required by the district
- Serve as a valuable resource on communication and language development within the school community
