This full-time assignment spans the 2026–2027 academic year, offering 35–37.5 hours per week with caseloads capped at 35 students. The district values flexibility—caseload details are customizable to your experience and preference, discussed during the interview process. Strong candidates will have expertise with autism spectrum and low cognitive disabilities; supervision is available for Clinical Fellows (CFs), encouraging the growth of newer practitioners. Only licensed Speech-Language Pathologists will be considered at this time.
Key Requirements:
- Active North Carolina SLP license (SLP-CF accepted with district-provided supervision)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or progressing toward completion
- Demonstrated experience or interest in working with autism and low cognitive disabilities
- School-based SLP background preferred
- Committed to working full-time, 35–37.5 hours per week throughout the academic year
- Adaptable and open to discussing caseload specifics
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to identify students’ communication needs in school settings
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services
- Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families for holistic student support
- Maintain accurate records and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
