School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Thermal, California

The district anticipates multiple openings, supporting a range of student needs, and is especially looking for onsite candidates ready for a long-term commitment (more than one full-year assignment).
Ideal candidates bring clinical expertise and the willingness to work onsite, immersing themselves in a supportive team culture. Bilingual Spanish skills are highly valued, reflecting the community’s needs, and there is a strong preference for those who can fill a PreK-focused position. Candidates with previous schools or SEIS experience and knowledge of California Medicaid (Paradigm) are appreciated, and those with experience in itinerant roles or using AAC devices will excel here. Recent graduates (CFs) are encouraged to apply, provided they possess a Certificate of Clearance (COC).
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license, CCC or eligibility for CF supervision
- Certificate of Clearance (COC) required
- Bilingual Spanish skills preferred
- PreK experience highly desired
- Familiarity with SEIS and California Medicaid systems (Paradigm) a plus
- Comfortable working with mild-moderate and some severe/complex caseloads, including AAC users
- Willingness to travel within the district (potential itinerant role)
- Commitment to onsite service for the duration of assignment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain compliance with documentation and SEIS data entry
- Partner with families and educators to support student growth
