Remote Speech Language Pathologist in IL
This opportunity seeks a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in a 5th and 6th grade building remotely. The caseload includes approximately 60 students ranging from general education to life skills/severe populations, with about 20 students requiring case management. Services will consist of a combination of speech-only therapy and speech as a related service. The role involves both virtual push-in support for students with severe needs and pull-out sessions for self-contained students.
Key responsibilities include conducting teletherapy sessions, managing individual caseloads, collaborating with paraprofessional facilitators and a virtual psychologist, and ensuring progress for students across diverse ability levels.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license
- Active Licensed Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) credential
- Experience delivering teletherapy services in educational settings
- Comfort working with a wide range of student needs from general education to severe impairments
- Ability to manage cases virtually and collaborate effectively with support staff
The position is fully remote with a contract running from mid-August through early June. This role offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse student population in a virtual format, utilizing telepractice skills to enhance student communication outcomes.
Located virtually with co-collaboration linked to Danville, IL, the schedule supports work-from-home flexibility while meeting the needs of students across educational settings.
