An opportunity is available for a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive teletherapy services for a diverse caseload in an educational setting. This contract position supports students ranging from general education to severe life skills, facilitating communication development through both individual and group interventions.
Location: Danville, IL (virtual service delivery)
Contract Duration: August 17, 2026 – June 4, 2027
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech therapy services via teletherapy to approximately 60 students in 5th and 6th-grade levels, including speech-only and speech as a related service.
- Manage case load of about 20 students independently, ensuring timely documentation and compliance with individual education plans.
- Provide virtual push-in support for students in severe life skills programs and pull-out services for students in self-contained classrooms.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals and a virtual psychologist to enhance service delivery and student support.
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs across multiple educational settings.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Active Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) certification.
- Experience working with a broad range of student needs from mild to severe.
- Proficient in teletherapy platforms and virtual service delivery methods.
- Strong organizational and case management skills.
