Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Work From Home | Virginia
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the upcoming full school year in Roanoke, VA. This role focuses on supporting high school students through direct therapy, assessments, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) development within a school setting. The position offers the opportunity to work with diverse student needs while contributing to their academic and communication success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student evaluations and assessments to identify speech and language impairments.
- Develop, write, and update IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams through IEP meetings and ongoing communication.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school and district policies.
- Participate in paid team meetings and complete required administrative duties within contracted hours.
- Support students across multiple settings as an itinerant therapist, with paid travel time included.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state of Virginia.
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and therapy techniques for school-aged children.
- Ability to manage caseloads independently and effectively.
- Comfort with conducting teletherapy sessions.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
