Remote Speech Language Pathologist in IL

A part-time speech-language pathologist assistant (SLPA) or speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2026/2027 school year in a therapeutic day school setting located in Pekin, IL. This role offers approximately 15 hours per week working within one building that serves students from Pre-K through age 22. The student population primarily includes individuals with autism, alongside others with emotional and intellectual disabilities, all supported in small class settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver teletherapy and in-person speech-language services tailored to the needs of students in a therapeutic day school environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor, document, and report progress on speech and language goals
- Adapt therapeutic strategies to accommodate diverse diagnoses and developmental levels
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois SLPA license required; SLP with CCC certification highly preferred
- Experience providing school-based speech therapy, especially in teletherapy formats
- Familiarity with therapeutic approaches for autism, emotional disabilities, and intellectual disabilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with students, families, and educational teams
