Virtual Speech Language Pathologist in NC
An opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in teletherapy and holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to provide support within a school setting in Brevard, NC. This contract position involves working with two middle school male students who are siblings and require specialized speech-language services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy services through telepractice for approximately 5-10 hours per week during the Extended School Year (ESY) and the 2026-2027 academic year.
- Provide targeted intervention for two middle school students, one of whom uses Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
- Utilize specialized learning programs with access granted by the school director to facilitate effective therapy.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to collaborate with educators, families, and support teams.
- Ensure progress tracking and completion of any necessary service hour catch-up.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Proven experience delivering speech therapy via telepractice in educational environments.
- Proficiency with AAC devices and related software.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a school-based framework and attend IEP meetings as required.
