Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Remote - North Carolina
A contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in telespeech services, located in East Flat Rock, NC. This role supports two middle school male students—brothers—with a focus on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). The position requires delivering speech-language services during the Extended School Year (ESY) and the 2026-2027 school year, with an estimated commitment of 5 to 10 hours per week.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing speech-language pathology services via telespeech to middle school students
- Delivering tailored AAC interventions, including working with one student who uses a communication device and specialized learning software
- Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to collaborate on student progress and goals
- Managing and catching up on service hours as needed
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Proven experience with AAC devices and software in educational settings
- Ability to deliver services remotely via telepractice
- Familiarity with school-based speech therapy procedures and documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with educational staff and families
