Speech Language Pathologist in Tehachapi, CA
Make a meaningful impact supporting middle school students in a vibrant educational setting. This full-time contract opportunity is open for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist, available from ASAP through June 10, 2027, for 37.5 hours per week. While onsite presence is preferred to foster direct engagement with students and staff, candidates who can start virtually for a brief introductory period (30–60 days) will also be considered.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid California SLP license and active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience or strong interest in working within a school-based setting, specifically with middle school students
- Ability to provide assessment, therapy, and support for a diverse caseload
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort with both in-person and short-term virtual service delivery models
- Willingness to provide current license documentation (screenshot of licensure status required with application)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and deliver direct and consultative therapy services to middle school students
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and caregivers to promote student success
- Document progress and maintain compliance with state and federal education standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights to promote student growth and inclusion
- Educate and support school staff on communication strategies and language development
