Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in California
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience working in school-based settings is highly valued
- Familiarity with implementing IEPs and collaborating with educational teams
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students as assigned
- Conduct assessments and reevaluations, develop IEP goals, and maintain compliance with all documentation requirements
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure student progress
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, providing input and recommendations
- Utilize the district’s IEP system (training available if needed)
- Take part in paid administrative time and team meetings
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date service records and progress monitoring
- Travel between schools as scheduled, with compensation
- Offer supervision where necessary, based on licensing and setting
