Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license and SLP-CCC certification required
- Previous experience in a school setting, particularly with elementary and pre-k age groups
- Proficiency in completing Medicaid billing and navigating IEP processes (writing, attending meetings, progress monitoring)
- Strong diagnostic and testing skills for speech/language assessments
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities when working with teachers, families, and support staff
- Ability to manage caseload documentation efficiently and ensure compliance with regulations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students in both individual and group settings
- Conduct and interpret assessments, developing and implementing targeted intervention plans
- Write, maintain, and attend meetings for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Complete all required Medicaid documentation and billing in a timely and accurate manner
- Collaborate with educators and families to support each student’s academic and social success
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive school climate by advocating for student communication needs
