- Previous experience in a school environment, providing therapy for students ages PreK-12
- Proficiency with IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation
- Strong assessment and intervention skills tailored to school-aged populations
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities when working with students, staff, and families
- Adaptability to diverse caseloads, including varying communication disorders
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations and interpreting results to determine student needs
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in line with IEP requirements
- Delivering direct and consultative speech-language therapy services
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote an integrated approach
- Participating in IEP meetings and supporting the development of student goals
- Maintaining accurate records and timely progress reports
- Applying evidence-based interventions and continually updating professional knowledge
