Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Hold, or be eligible for, the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NCBOESLPA) license
- Understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to school speech-language services
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships with staff, families, and community resources
- Strong record-keeping, report-writing, and consultation skills
- Experience with elementary and preschool-aged children is highly desired
- Open to SLP-CCC and SLP-CFY candidates
Responsibilities:
- Provide both informal and formal information regarding speech, language, and hearing programs
- Maintain comprehensive student records and prepare necessary periodic reports
- Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, and school personnel
- Conduct screenings, administer assessments, and obtain further diagnostic data as needed
- Develop and adjust evidence-based intervention strategies for individuals and groups
- Interpret data and make recommendations for speech-language services
- Analyze the impact of services on student learning outcomes
- Travel between school sites as part of the assignment
This role is a 10-month, school-year position as a contracted employee. As you support students’ communication skills and growth, you’ll play a critical role in their lifelong learning journey.
