This position focuses on serving elementary, pre-K, and preschool students in a vibrant educational environment near Hubert, NC. Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- CCC-SLP or CFY eligibility welcomed
- Valid or eligible for North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NCBOESLPA) license
- Deep understanding of childhood speech and hearing development
- Knowledge of communication disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches
- Familiarity with relevant Federal, State, and Local regulations in school-based speech-language services
- Strong recordkeeping skills and the ability to maintain and analyze student data
- Effective in developing and maintaining positive relationships across school teams, students, and families
- Able to coordinate services within the school and with outside resources
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and analyze evaluations to develop targeted intervention plans
- Provide direct speech-language therapy (individual and group)
- Collaborate with educators and consult with parents and staff on communication disorders
- Maintain accurate records and prepare required reports for the speech-language program
- Adjust intervention strategies based on student progress and performance
- Plan, implement, and analyze the effectiveness of interventions on student learning
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations
Physical expectations include the ability to be active throughout the day, support students during drills or emergencies, lift up to 15-30 pounds as needed, and travel among school sites.
