Step into a dynamic school-based setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist, providing essential support to students across multiple elementary, middle, and high school environments. This contract opportunity begins at the start of the new academic year and offers hands-on involvement with diverse student needs in a collaborative atmosphere near Sunnyvale, California.

You'll work across several school sites, ensuring students have access to the speech and language services they need to thrive. Flexibility and adaptability are key, as your week may take you to different campuses, supporting both general education and special populations, including preschool. Your primary focus will be supplementing existing SLP teams to manage high caseloads and contributing expertise in assessments for overloaded sites.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
  • School-based SLP experience is a major plus
  • Open to recent graduates with internship experience in educational settings
  • California SLP license preferred, though not required
  • Strong assessment and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively at multiple sites and with diverse student populations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language services for students individually and in small groups
  • Complete assessments to support caseload overloads
  • Collaborate with onsite SLPs, special education, and general education staff
  • Rotate between assigned school locations each day, based on student need
  • Maintain detailed records of interventions and progress notes

There are full-time positions available with schedules varying between 8:00 am - 3:00 pm or 8:00 am - 3:30 pm, depending on school assignment. Contract durations differ, with some roles running through September and others extending until permanent hires are made.
