School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Sunnyvale, California

Step into a fulfilling role supporting high school and post-secondary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract position offers 35 hours per week and the unique opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team of seven other SLPs. In this supportive environment, you’ll work closely with colleagues to share a caseload and positively impact students’ communication abilities.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and valid SLP license for the state
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior school-based experience strongly valued, especially with high school or post-secondary populations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team to manage shared caseloads
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs and develop tailored intervention plans
- Provide direct and consultative SLP services in accordance with IEP requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including assessment documentation and progress notes
- Participate in team meetings, IEP sessions, and ongoing professional development
- Foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere that encourages student growth and engagement
