Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active, current state SLP license (CCC preferred)
- Previous experience working in school settings
- Strong foundation in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in children
- Skilled with virtual therapy platforms and technology (for teletherapy roles)
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Adaptability and commitment to providing individualized care
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for student referrals
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) targeting specific student needs
- Provide evidence-based therapy—onsite or via secure teletherapy platforms
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation per district standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
- Offer guidance to teachers and families regarding communication strategies
- Stay current with best practices in school-based speech-language pathology
