Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Lapwai, ID
Step into a rewarding in-person role supporting high-needs students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity is available for three motivated SLPs eager to deliver impactful services across K-12 settings. With the current SLP retiring, there’s an immediate need for specialists who thrive in a collaborative, student-focused environment and are passionate about making a difference.
Caseload sizes are thoughtfully managed, typically ranging from 50-60 students, allowing for meaningful, individualized interactions. Positions are available in elementary, middle, and high school buildings, with schedules as follows: Elementary 7:30 am–4:00 pm, Middle 7:45 am–4:00 pm, and High School 8:30 am–4:00 pm. Please note: All services must be delivered in person—teletherapy or hybrid placements will not be considered.
Ideal candidates will have:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or be completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based settings
- Familiarity with a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility in handling varying caseloads across elementary, middle, or high school
- Dedication to in-person, hands-on therapy
- Excellent interpersonal and documentation skills
Core responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
- Delivering therapy to students with diverse needs
- Keeping accurate records and progress notes
- Engaging in IEP meetings and contributing expertise to school teams
- Providing support and resources to students, staff, and families
