You’ll be matched with one or two school sites depending on your availability and preference, with caseloads including PK resource therapy, elementary, and middle grades. Enjoy the support of collaborative teams or the independence of being the lead SLP, based on the location assignment. Positions are available immediately and run through June 2027.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license for Florida is required
- Prior experience in school-based practice or with pediatric populations preferred
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organization skills
- Comfort working in team environments and independently
- Ability to complete time-sensitive district credentialing, including fingerprint clearance and in-person badge pick-up
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide direct therapy for students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain meticulous records in compliance with school and district guidelines
- Consult with teachers, families, and other school staff to maximize student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team efforts
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students
