Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students in Pre-K through 8th grade.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support students’ IEP goals and integration in the classroom.
- Complete timely documentation and progress reporting in accordance with district requirements.
- Serve as the sole SLP onsite, providing leadership for speech and language services.
- Ensure compliance with all district and state requirements, including fingerprinting protocols.
- Participate in school meetings and interdisciplinary team processes as needed.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Previous school-based or pediatric therapy experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of age-appropriate strategies for PK–8 students.
- Skilled in adapting therapy techniques to meet diverse needs across elementary and middle grades.
- Ability to operate independently as the only SLP on site.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation abilities.
