You will provide direct therapy, evaluate students, and develop individualized treatment plans to address a range of speech and language disorders. Work side-by-side with educators and families to promote positive academic and social outcomes for students.
You’ll excel in this role if you bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- California SLP license (or eligibility)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working with school-aged children, ideally in a school environment
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs and track students’ progress
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and delivering evidence-based speech and language interventions
- Developing IEP goals and objectives, and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintaining thorough records and documentation as required by the school
- Supporting generalization of skills in classroom settings through teacher collaboration and consultation
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing professional expertise
- Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
