What You'll Bring:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license for Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience or strong interest in working with ASD populations
- Experience with Pre-K to 6th grade students is preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs
In This Role, You'll:
- Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services for Pre-K through 6th grade students
- Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and families
- Work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate speech-language objectives into daily activities
- Utilize evidence-based practices tailored to address speech-language concerns, with particular attention to ASD
- Empower students to strengthen social communication and practical speech/language skills
- Maintain detailed progress documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Serve as a valued resource for families and school staff on all speech-language related needs
