Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP-CCC certification
- Eligible for (or holds) state licensure to practice as an SLP in Connecticut
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings appreciated
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities
- Ability to adapt quickly within dynamic educational teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
- Document progress, maintain detailed records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide both direct and consultative services as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Offer insights and strategies to staff for integrating speech/language goals into everyday activities
