Speech Language Pathologist in Springfield, OR
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication growth across two high schools and one elementary setting near Springfield, OR. This role is essential for the 2026-2027 school year, running from September 8th, 2026, through June 17th, 2027, with a consistent 40-hour workweek. Split your time across the Westmoreland Campus—serving students with specialized needs—and Lane Schools, where the focus is on social skills and integration.
You’ll manage a caseload of approximately 33 students, primarily supporting life skills programming, including safe eating and AAC needs. While prior experience with feeding and swallowing (safe eating) as well as AAC is preferred, comprehensive training will be provided for the right candidate eager to expand their skill set. You'll operate independently on-site, yet benefit from a collaborative environment, with virtual check-ins and monthly team meetings with a group of 12 dedicated SLPs. In-person support from special education professionals, paraprofessionals, and classroom assistants further enriches your daily experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold active SLP-CCC with school-based experience.
- Ability to work effectively across high school and elementary age groups.
- Interest or background in feeding, swallowing (safe eating), and AAC (can train).
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to consistently on-site work; virtual/remote options are not considered.
