Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist in Spring Valley, CA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-8 school setting located in the Spring Valley, CA area. This contract role offers the opportunity to work directly within a supportive public school environment, providing vital speech and language services to students throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services to students across grades K-8
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with special education staff and administration
- Provide clinical supervision as required for candidates in clinical fellowship year (CFY)
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and procedures
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) authorization
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Experience working in school-based settings, including pediatrics and teletherapy methods
- Familiarity with caseload management and workload models specific to school districts
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, and compliance with educational regulations
- Ability to participate in remote or onsite interviews and adhere to district fingerprinting and credentialing requirements
Location & Schedule:
- Schools within the Spring Valley, CA region serving K-8 students
- Full-time, 40 hours per week contract position
- Contract period: Immediate start through the end of the school year
