School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | South Bend, Indiana

This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) or a capable SLPA (for on-site roles) who thrives in school-based settings and is passionate about helping PreK-8th grade students achieve their communication goals.
You'll provide vital speech and language services in one 5th-8th grade building (caseload around 35 students) as well as several private school locations serving Preschool through 8th grade. Caseloads average 40-45 students for virtual, and 65-70 students for on-site. These settings focus largely on traditional speech and language needs; AAC device usage is minimal, with the middle school and private schools not having specialized programs for such devices. Bilingual skills are a plus, though not required; adjustments can be made for the right candidate.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP-CCC license required for SLP roles; SLPA certification considered for in-person roles
- Experience in school-based or pediatric environments strongly preferred
- Understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and collaboration in educational teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and adaptability skills
- Comfortable with both virtual and in-person service delivery (SLPAs considered for in-person only)
- Commitment to inclusion and fostering student growth across grade levels
Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat students with speech, language, and communication needs within assigned caseloads
- Develop and implement IEP goals; collaborate with teachers, families, and other team members
- Maintain timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Contribute to a supportive, engaging learning environment
