Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in developing effective communication skills that enhance academic success and social participation. This position involves working on-site with students, educators, and families to provide speech and language services in accordance with California state regulations and IDEA guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, and fluency assessments
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with IDEA and California education law
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students based on IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student outcomes
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation and service logs
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and parent conferences
- Utilize evidence-based practices and data-driven decision-making
- Support Response to Intervention (RTI/MTSS) initiatives
- Ensure adherence to state and federal education laws, including IDEA and FERPA
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet all California state requirements for school-based SLPs:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field from an accredited institution
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board
- Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential (SLPSC) issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)
(or eligibility to obtain prior to start date) - Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) (or actively completing CFY under supervision)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (as required by district policy)
- Clear background check and fingerprint clearance through DOJ/FBI
- Tuberculosis (TB) clearance in accordance with California school employment regulations
