School Speech Language Pathologist - Shreveport, Louisiana

Make a positive difference in the lives of young learners through a rewarding full-time Speech-Language Pathology role. This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through May 2027 and serves students ages 3–12, with occasional opportunities to support high school students. You’ll have the benefit of a flexible daily schedule, starting as early as 7:30 am and wrapping up by 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, for a total of 37.5 hours each week.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Previous school-based SLP experience highly preferred
- Strong understanding of child speech and language development
- Confident in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Effective collaborator; comfortable working with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a caseload of students ages 3–12, with occasional high school support
- Develop and maintain IEPs, monitor student progress, and document all sessions
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services both individually and in small groups
- Partner with educators and families for optimal student outcomes
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
- Participate in team meetings, evaluations, and ongoing professional development
